This July, the Mudam (Musée de l’Art Moderne) celebrates its 10th anniversary. In a unique setting among the ruins of an ancient historical fort in the heart of Luxembourg’s Kirchberg, the museum conceived by Chinese-Amercian architect Ieoh Ming Pei, links the historical past of the city to the unconfined thoughts and emotions of today’s very best modern artists. The latter are called into being by countless stunning modern art exhibitions seeking to inspire and to push boundaries. It is thus no surprise, that for the celebration of the 10th anniversary, the Mudam called upon Wim Delvoye, one of modern art’s emblematic figures, to install an exhibition on his own work.

Celebrating its 20th birthday, Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’art contemporain is offering an all-new experience in terms of contemporary art exhibitions. This venue, conveniently placed in the city centre, is known for being a place where art meets culinary café. With her monumental exhibition “Gypsum” reusing the old plaster walls of the venue, artist Lara Almarcegui created an exhibiton really worth contemplating and while you are at it, take a moment to reflect at the Ca(fé)sino.

In the walls of a former refuge and old patrician houses from the 17th and 18th century, Luxembourg city’s history museum welcomes you among a stunning display of the 1000-year-old history of the capital.
