The Heringsdorf Pier was built from wood during 1891 to 1893. At this time it was 500 metres long, but it was extended 10 years later to 508 metres and it’s the longest of its kind in Europe.
The Beach Promenade is one of the longest in Europe extending a total of 12 kilometres. It runs through Bansin to Heringsdorf and finally Ahlbeck before reaching the Polish Border. The promenade has both a cycling and a walking path to watch the sea view.
