To enhance the boarding experience for all passengers at Luxembourg Airport, Luxair has implemented a group boarding procedure to all destinations.
This streamlined process is also available for your return flights from almost all stations except the following ones, where it is not possible to implement: Brač (BWK), Burgas (BOJ), Dubrovnik (DBV), Enfidha (NBE), Pescara (PSR), Rimini (RMI), Tivat (TIV), Toulon (TLN), Varna (VAR) and Zadar (ZAD).
Additionally, starting this summer season 2026, the following stations will implement the group boarding facility to ease your return process: Alicante (ALC) from 15th of April, Araxos (GPA) from 20th of May, Bilbao (BIO) from 16th of July, Edinburg (EDI) from 03rd of July, Girona (GRO) from 02nd of June, Helsinki (HEL) from 02nd of July, Porto Santo (PXO) from 21st of April, Tunis (TUN) from 04th of July and Zakynthos (ZTH) from 20th of May. Please visit the relevant destination page on the website for further information.
For detailed information on our group boarding procedure, please refer to the process below.
Your boarding group is indicated on your printed and digital boarding pass. Please only proceed for boarding at the assigned boarding gate when your group is called. Keep your boarding pass and travel documents at hand.
If you check-in at the airport desk, your boarding pass will clearly highlight your assigned group on the top right corner.
For those checking in online, your group assignment will also be clearly marked on your boarding pass, under the label "Group".
• At the Gate
Before the boarding begins, a welcome announcement will be made to prepare you for our boarding by group process.
Please take a moment to check and confirm your boarding group on your boarding pass to ensure a smooth and orderly boarding process.
• Boarding sequence
We strive to ensure a seamless and enjoyable boarding experience for all our passengers.
First, we will pre-board passengers with reduced mobility and unaccompanied minors to provide them with extra assistance.
Following this, we will invite passengers in Boarding Group 1 to board. Subsequently, we will call all remaining boarding groups in order up to 5.
Important: We kindly ask you to observe the dedicated boarding lane signs and queue up in the appropriate lane when your boarding group is announced.
• Be on time: Arrive at the boarding gate well before the time indicated on your boarding pass.
• Prepare your documents: Ensure you have all necessary travel and identification documents.
• Respect your boarding group: Wait for your group to be called before proceeding to the boarding gate.
• Cabin baggage: Please check that your cabin baggage and personal item comply with the allowed dimensions. We invite you to review our cabin policy guidelines to ensure a smooth boarding process.
Your cooperation is essential in ensuring a smooth boarding experience and a timely departure to your destination.
We warmly thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
