Welcome to all families on board ! We know travelling with children can be a bit stressful, this is why we are making sure your journey will be as smooth as possible. From booking to arriving at destination we will do our utmost to keep kids entertained, relaxed and comfortable. You can find below the answers to all your questions related to family travelling.

- If your child is under 12 years of age, he/she must be accompanied by an independent adult who is at least 18 years of age. The accompanying adult may be under the age of 18 if he or she is the child's father, mother or legal guardian.
- Other documents may be required, depending on the local legislation of the country of destination. In this case, please check with the local authorities in the country of destination.
- A passenger may travel with 2 infants (under 2 years old), but the reservation must be made by contacting our customer service centre, (+352) 2456-1.
TRAVELLING WITH A BABY (0-2 YEARS OLD)

BABY SEATING
We provide “kangaroo belts” for children under 2 years, so they can sit comfortably on your lap during the journey. If you prefer your infant under 2 years to travel in an individual seat, you must book an extra seat and install him or her in an approved car seat (approved use in aircraft and motor vehicles) or harness. Please contact our Customer Service Center to book and make sure your device is suitable for the plane.

CHANGING BABY ON BOARD
For your comfort, baby tables are available in the bathroom. Please remember to take with you the useful essentials like diapers, nappy change cream and cleansing wipes.

BREASTFEEDING ON BOARD
In all our Luxair and LuxairTours flights we want to maximize mothers comfort. You have the possibility to breastfeed at your seat.

PREGNANCY ON BOARD
If your pregnancy is trouble-free, you can fly up to your 36th week without special conditions.
In the following situations, you’ll need to show a medical certificate dated less than 7 days prior to your departure:
- if you’re experiencing complications during your pregnancy
- if you want to travel within 7 days after giving birth
Please note: medical certificates must state the estimated due date, and the relevant flight dates.

REDUCED FARE & LUGGAGE POLICY
SMALL PRICE FOR THE SMALL ONES*
If your child is older than 2 years and younger than 12 years
Your child must occupy his own seat and travel at child fare and benefit of a 25% discount of the regular price.
If your child is under 2 years old (infant)
Your baby can travel on your lap on any flight and benefit of a 90% discount. If for your comfort you prefer an additional seat for your baby, than you will need to buy a child fare ticket (2-12 years old) and bring an approved car seat or harness for your child to use.
If your child turns 2 years old during your trip, the child fare applies to all the flights in your itinerary. For this special type of booking, please contact the Customer Service Centre (+352) 2456-1.
*Travelling with their parents. Please note that for LuxairTours holiday packages, children under 2 years old are travelling free of charge. Children over 2 years old can benefit from special discounts under certain conditions (please refer to the price calculator on www.luxairtours.lu)

Your child is entitled to the same free baggage allowance as adults depending on the travel class.
If your child is under 6 years old
Your child is entitled to the same free baggage allowance as adults depending on the travel class. Additionally you can bring your child's stroller or car-seat (please find more information here).
TIME FOR MEAL?
As a family-friendly airline, kids are in the spotlight with our Kids Box - a box conceived especially for all children with fresh and local ingredients. Your kids can enjoy this tasty experience if the box is ordered at least 48 prior the flight via our catering page. If your child has a special diet, please view all our available menus on the same page.
If you’re traveling with an infant aged 0-23 months, we recommend that you bring enough feeding bottles and food – little baby food jars, milk powder – for the entire journey.
For any special demand please contact the crew members on board, they will do their utmost to meet your needs. Please note that you are allowed to bring baby food in the carry-on luggage. Containers can exceed 100 ml but need to be stored in transparent plastic bags and placed on the conveyor. At some airports, you can experience that the baby food will be subject to further inspection.

FIRST FLIGHT CERTIFICATE
Download the following PDF file, print it at home, fill it out with your child’s details, and bring it on board for your flight. Our crew members will be happy to sign it on board for a memorable first flight.
UNACCOMPANIED MINORS SERVICE
(Please note that this service is not available for LuxairTours packages.)
ON GROUND
Our unaccompanied children and minors service is for children aged 5 to 11 years old who are flying alone. A dedicated agent will greet your child at the check-in counter and stay with him/her throughout the airport to help him/her through the security check and find the boarding gate before meeting the cabin crew at the aircraft gate. ON BOARD
The cabin crew welcome your child onboard with an introduction of the crew.
After a quick document check, your child is guided to the seat, where the crew helps to stow the personal belongings, assists in fastening the seatbelt and gives a small safety briefing. All unaccompanied minors are seated in vicinity of a crew so that any crew member can take care of him at any time of the flight. Even the passengers around are briefed to call the crew whenever the child has any concern.
Our priority is the safe and comfortable travel for our guests.
DURING FLIGHT
During the flight, our cabin crew will do their utmost to ensure that your child has a pleasant flight. We will offer him a snack, a drink and a small surprise but also a little bit of small talk to share the great world of aviation. Our Crews are trained to constantly keep an eye on the youngest.
AFTER LANDING
Upon arrival at destination, the cabin crew will perform a last document check before saying goodbye. Your child is then personally picked up at the aircraft by the ground staff and safely brought to the airport terminal.
A WORLD WHERE CHILDREN ARE KINGS : THE LUXiClub
Our LUXiClub offers a multitude of activities for children and teens from 4 to 16 years with qualified entertainers for whom the children’s safety is a number 1 priority.
We offer professional support and entertainment in French, German and Luxembourgish during the high season in hotels with facilities particularly appropriate for the needs of families. The animation will be organized in small groups and all activities will be performed outside in the open air while respecting social distancing rules.
